Assigning and Reassigning a Claim

Learn how to reassign a claim to another team or to another user.

As a team leader you can both assign tasks to and un-assign tasks from a user in any team or reassign a claim/task to another team. Teams can have multiple users in the team leader role. 


Assignment and Reassignment

If there is no assignee for the current task, the “+ Assign to me” button will be visible on the task bar and in the tasks area.

Logged in as a team leader, navigate to the claim you wish to assign, click in the kebab menu in the top right hand corner of your screen and select the “Assign to” option. 



On the following modal, you will see that the current assignee field is blank [1] as the task is not assigned to a user. 

Select the team to which you want to refer the claim from the dropdown list under “Target Team” [2]. You can specify a “Target Assignee” within the target team [3] or leave it blank. Leaving it blank will send the claim to the target team’s backlog where it can be picked up manually by any member of the team by clicking "Assign to me +".
