Using Claim Messaging

Learn how to make file notes and send claim chat messages to your counterparty

Accessing Claim Messaging

To access messaging for the claim, navigate to the positions tab of the claim and click the messaging icon to open the messaging drawer.


File Notes

A file note is a message to the claim file that is shared only among members of your team. These are used to record any relevant information you wish your team to be able to access.  


Claim Chat

Claim chat messages will be visible to all parties to the claim except the arbitrator. These are used to communicate with your counterparty. 



Sending and Deleting Messages

Ensure that the message type selector button is set correctly (it shows as blue when active) before sending a message. If you send a message in error, you can delete it for up to five minutes after sending by clicking the rubbish bin icon on the right hand side of the message. 




After five minutes the message will become a part of the case record and immutable.
